The Festival of the Creative Act

The House of Fairy Tales is an arts-based education project established by the artists Deborah Curtis and Gavin Turk which uses the vast narrative scope of fairy tales to provide innovative and transformative learning experiences, for people for all ages.

Over the August Bank Holiday weekend over 3,000 people will be transported into another world for 4 nights and 3 days.  The team is producing a marathon theatre and arts experience, as well as being inspired by world class performers, the public will make puppets, learn new skills, take part in games and puzzles and write scripts and perform theatre themselves.  At night, sleep under canvas and the stars after spending the evening chatting around the campfire.

The event will take place in and around the grounds of the Castle.  Families will enter through the portal of Passport Control, precious passports in hand, which will unfold into the main theatres.  These will be set in Sudeley's 70 acres of parkland, in three diverse and enchanting 'villages'.
